CBP has notified NTEU that it intends to rollout the Reporting Offsite Arrival – Mobile (ROAM) application to the Buffalo, Seattle, Miami and Boston field offices (notice attached). The new system will be accessible to Officers on the ROAM application from any computer via an agency-provided URL. CBP’s expectation is that the new application will reduce processing time, thus allowing Officers more time to conduct enforcement examinations. The application should also ease some of the current administrative burdens of manually entering travel data.
Prior to the rollout, Officers will be trained on the new system via hands-on-training. The agency does not anticipate any changes to employee working conditions.
